Answers for your questions part V

Dear all,

The hardest subject in Biology (in my opinion) is biochemistry....but you will learn this only when you are in college and takes biology as your major.

Is there any dinosour remain?
Well.....the fossil...yes....others? What do you think about 'komodo'? And have you heard that some said crocodile is the living dinosaur?

here is one of the scientist opinion:
Perhaps some reptiles alive today would have grown to be dinosaurs in ancient times if they had much longer lifespans in ancient times. According to the Bible, men lived to be over 900 years old until the time of Noah. Perhaps animals, too, had much longer lifespans than they have today. Dr. Walt Brown of the Center for Scientific Creation writes:
"Possibly dinosaurs became very large, because they lived to great ages. Humans could live for more than 900 years [in ancient times]... If whatever caused man to live so long had the same effect on dinosaurs, they could have grown very large. Reptiles, unlike other animals, continue to grow throughout their lives. Perhaps large dinosaurs, which are similar to reptiles in many ways, were just old (Brown, Walt, In the Beginning, Phoenix, AZ, USA: Center for Scientific Creation, 1995, p. 172; bracketed information [] is by Kevin Kluetzmine, 1998 )."

Is it hard to study Biology? Nope....as long as you connects it with your life and all arround you. After all it is a study about living things and we are living thing.
My suggestion is ...better you understand it than try to memorize all ofthe information.
Boring? NO.............how can you be bored with science? there is always something new.....new explanations and lots of new questions!

Which one come first 'Dinosaur time' or 'Adam and Eve time'?
Wow.....and how can you think that science is boring?

That is what so interesting about Biology, it can answer many of my questions about life but yet it can also create 'questions'.........mistery.......wonders of the world!

In my opinion...again.....if we read the bible....God creates the animal first, than Adam and Eve...but if you are talking about 'time' that is something that I'm still searching for the answer.

What do you think guys? Do you know the answer?

Is there any personal/group activity outside the class?
Yes, there will be.

How do I teach Biology?

With all means I can think about. (Presentation, Notes, Reading Books, Pictures, Internet, Newspaper, outdoor activities, project, personal task, group task, model, you say it.)

Sience in Focus (Biology and Physics) will be used for three years, until you graduate from Santa Laurensia JHS.

Will there any AC in the class soon?

No..there will be no AC in your classroom, that is not healthy. If one of you sick, AC just make it worst..all of you could be easily infected. Beside fresh air is far more healthy than AC, both for yourself and environment(Global warming).
If you don't believe me, you ould ask your physics teacher how AC works and the conection with influenza virus for example.
After all, we already have AC in The AV Room, Laboratory, and Science Room.
Well, thats all for today......
C U in class and GBU all.
